Thanks to our Volunteers!

Hats Off to FCKLL Volunteers

Thanks to all our volunteers who made our 70th season such a success! We don't always see them while they are hard at work, but our volunteers make everything about FCKLL baseball possible.

Our managers and coaches share their insights and provide great developmental experiences to our kids.

Our parents make it possible to offer fun activities like Opening Day, the Hit-A-Thon, and championship day. They also run the snack bar so our kids can get something to eat when they are hungry, a cool drink on a hot day, and share in some age-old traditions (like hot dogs and cracker jacks).

And our board members donate their time and expertise all year long to make sure our league remains operational and healthy on all fronts.

Thanks to all of you who made our spring season possible, and to those who are laying the ground work for our fall season as well!

Equipment Donation Scores A Big Hit!

FCKLL Equipment Donations Help Other Kids Play Ball

FCKLL recently collected old-standard bats and other baseball equipment for donation to the charity Pitch In For Baseball (PIFB).

PIFB delivers donated equipment to youth baseball organizations across the United States and around the world where children want to play baseball, but lack equipment.
Thanks to the generosity of the entire FCKLL family, which donated equipment at the spring player assessments and opening day, we were able to deliver the following items to PIFB's warehouse:
153 bats 120 baseball pants
56 helmets 20 gloves
12 equipment bags 4 pairs catcher's shin guards
3 pairs cleats 4 catcher's / umpire's throat guards
2 catcher's helmets 3 catcher's chest protectors
2 pairs batting gloves 1 bucket of baseballs
1 umpire's home plate brush 2 batting tees
1 elastic band baseball hitting trainer 1 scorebook
PIFB thanked FCKLL on Facebook and Twitter for the donations.
Special thanks to FCKLL Quartermasters Scott Moore and Jared Workman for enabling donations of surplus FCKLL equipment, and to all the families who donated.equipment.

FCKLL at Nationals Day!

See the Nationals Play for Free on June 23!

As part of our league's relationship with the Washington Nationals, all FCKLL players and coaches are eligible to get two free tickets to see the Nationals play the Phillies on June 23 at 4:00!

To get your tickets, you must:

  • Show up in person on game day at the ticket boot near the home plate entrance (next to South Capitol St. SE and Potomac Avenue SE.) starting at 1:00.
  • Wear your FCKLL jersey or coach's hat.

Can teams sit together?
You may be able to sit together if your team gets in line together at the ticket booth. Seats cannot be resereved in advance.

Where will our seats be?
Seats will be located throughout the ballpark. All tickets and seating locations are provided on a first-come, first-served basis.

Can I get extra tickets for family members?
Additional tickets may be purchased at ticket windows near the ticket distribution point.  The complimentary tickets and the purchased tickets might not be together, but the Nationals will make every attempt to seat families as close together as possible.

Hope to see you all at the ballpark!
